Short version: the app keeps your content on your machine, and the only thing this website collects is the email you give us to join the beta list.

The app is local-first

langcap runs on your computer. Your media, the text it mines, your answers, and your progress stay on your device. The app does not upload them, and it does not phone home. Any optional language model you point it at runs on your own hardware.

The waitlist

If you join the beta list, we collect the email address you enter — nothing else. It is stored and managed by Kit (ConvertKit), the service that runs our email list, and we use it only to email you about langcap's beta and launch. We never sell it or share it with anyone else. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can leave the list at any time.

Signups use double opt-in: after you enter your email, Kit sends a confirmation message, and you are only added once you confirm.

Analytics

The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It is privacy-friendly: no cookies, no fingerprinting, and no cross-site tracking. It does not identify you.
